Man Falls To His Death From Roof On Long Island: Police A man fell to his death from a roof on Long Island on Thursday morning, Oct. 8, police said. Cops were called to a home on Forest Avenue in Locust Valley around 11:30 a.m. Thursday and found the man lying on the ground with severe head trauma, the Nassau County Police Department said. The man, identified only as a 51-year-old, had fallen from the first-floor roof after losing his footing, according to police. He was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a physician, cops said. An investigation is ongoing.
