Woman Found Dead In Delaware River In Philadelphia At NJ Border (Developing) A woman was found dead in the Delaware River in South Philadelphia on Monday morning, Sept. 7, authorities said. Her body was recovered near the 1600 block of South Christopher Columbus Boulevard around 9:30 a.m., according to Philadelphia police. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:50 a.m., police said. Her identity had not been released as of Monday afternoon. Officials also had not disclosed how she died or how long she may have been in the water. The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia police.
