The grandfather of two children killed in an Ocean County boating crash has been charged with vehicular homicide nearly a month after their deaths, according to court records and NJ Advance Media.
Stephen Christopher Schneider, 64, was arrested on Friday, Aug. 14, and charged with reckless death by auto or vessel, also known as vehicular homicide, according to Berkeley Township Municipal Court records. Schneider was being held in the Ocean County Jail.

At 9:32 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, police responded to 602 W. Cuthbert Blvd. after three juveniles, ages 15 and 16, reported a man, later identified as Axel Novaberganza, exposed himself and engaged in a sexual act in their presence, Haddon Township police said.

Brandi Karcher, of Delaware Township, succumbed to her injuries sustained in the two-vehicle crash on Route 173 on Wednesday, Aug. 12, authorities said.
At 4:34 p.m., on Monday, Aug. 10, a Kia was traveling west on Route 173 in Bethlehem Township when it collided with a Jeep SUV making a right-hand turn, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police, said.
