Authorities have identified the victim killed in a car crash over the weekend on the Palisades Interstate Parkway as a 22-year-old man from Queens, NY. Leighton A. A truck driver was injured following a crash on Route 78 in Somerset County on Saturday, Dec. 13, authorities said. At 10:23 a.m., a crash occurred between a Toyota sedan and a Freightliner tractor trailer in Bernards Township, Christopher Postorino, a spokesman for the New Jersey State police said. The crash caused the tractor trailer to veer off the road left and strike a guardrail, Postorino said. The driver of the Freightliner sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, Postorino said. The crash remains under investigation, Postorino said.
