A fatal Connecticut crash involving a dump truck killed two women. For one Massachusetts family, it marked the death of a second child in less than six months. A new fundraiser is asking the community to rally around the family so it does not “have to carry every burden that comes with such tremendous loss alone.”
Kristina Murphy, 28, of Wilmington, Massachusetts, was killed in a crash on I-84 near Exit 68 in Tolland on Wednesday night, Aug. 19, Connecticut State Police said. Murphy was riding in a Kia driven by Paige Cooke, 29, of Manchester, New Hampshire. Cooke also died at the scene.

The sudden death of a New Jersey mother has friends rallying around her children.
Cherilyn A. Molina, 49, died at her Hardyston Township home on Tuesday, Aug. 18, according to her obituary on the Ferguson Funeral Home website.
Molina was raised in Teaneck and later moved to Ogdensburg, where she raised her children, Jayda and Damian, her obituary says. She worked for Movora in Whippany and enjoyed shopping, going to the beach, cooking, and traveling.
