A 43-year-old man was arrested after police said he used a baseball bat to smash his way into a Target store in Orange County in the middle of the night, where he was caught with prescription drugs.
The incident happened just after midnight on Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Target located at 128 Bailey Farm Rd. in Monroe, New York State Police said on Friday, Oct. 16.
There, troopers responded to a report of a burglary in progress. When they arrived, officers discovered that the business, which was closed at the time, had broken glass entry doors.

A 24-year-old man faces charges after police said a 9-year-old boy was shot with a BB gun while walking next to an occupied vehicle in Rockland County.
Spring Valley resident Marco J. Guanoquiza-Caillagua, 24, was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 15, following the incident, which happened in Spring Valley the day before on Wednesday, Oct. 14, according to the Spring Valley Police Department.

A New York man used a Connecticut home’s internet connection to download child sexual abuse material and store it on Google Drive, police allege.
Michael Edward Wyatt Dobush, 25, of Clymer, New York, was arrested Thursday morning, Oct. 15, and was charged with first-degree possession of child sex abuse material, Coventry police said. He was released on a $75,000 bond.

Aiden Zachary, 18, of Syosset, pleaded guilty Thursday, Oct. 15 to first-degree manslaughter in the killing of Liam Delemo, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said.
