Suffolk Murder Victim May Have Teased Killers On Facebook Before Death, Third Suspect Arrested
A third man — accused of being a Bloods gang member — has been arrested in connection with the beating death of a Long Island man in mid-June.
Benjamin Sheppard, 33, was scheduled to make his first court appearance on Wednesday, July 1, according to online records.
Sheppard is now charged alongside Korey Sammarco, 36, and Melissa Fawcett, 50, of beating Christopher Martin to death on Sunday, June 14 in Shirley, the Suffolk County Police Department said.

A US Postal Service mail carrier and mother of two was kidnapped and killed while delivering mail just months after her husband's death, authorities said.
Brandi Reynolds, 35, was found dead at about 4:16 p.m. on Friday, June 26, the US Postal Inspection Service said in a news release. Her body was discovered in Hays, North Carolina, about 90 minutes west of Greensboro.
William Durham, 56, was arrested in connection with Reynolds' death. He was charged with first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping, NBC News reported.
