80-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed In Early-Morning Crash On Long Island
A pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV on Long Island during the early morning hours of Monday, June 15, police announced.
Richard Jennings, 80, of Brentwood, was standing in the eastbound lane of Suffolk Avenue near Fulton Street in Brentwood when he was hit by a 2017 Ford Escape at approximately 2:20 a.m., according to Suffolk County Police.
The vehicle was driven by Britney Barbaron Rojas, 23, of Islip Terrace, police said.
Jennings was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, authorities said. Barbaron Rojas was treated for minor injuries.
