Former Fox Affiliate TV Anchor Admits To Stabbing Mother To Death
A former local television news anchor whose career included several stations across the country has admitted to a crime that could keep her behind bars for decades.
Angelynn “Angie” Mock, 48, pleaded guilty Friday, Aug. 21, to first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of her 80-year-old mother, Anita Avers, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office. Mock faces a presumptive life sentence with eligibility for parole after 25 years.
Her sentencing is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 5.

Sophay Yem, 35, and Intanon Chay, 36, have been charged with attempted murder, terroristic threats, and related offenses in connection with the May 12 road-rage incident in Tredyffrin Township, according to the Chester County District Attorney's Office.

A New York native found dead on a work trip to Nashville was located in under five hours by private investigators, according to their organization.
The body of Conor Anderson, 31, was found by Covert Results PI firm, which revealed details of the search on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
Anderson, a native of Huntington, Long Island, who moved to the Denver area, was last seen alive around 1 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department. He was in town for a work trip surrounding a real estate conference, according to his LinkedIn page.
